NO BAKED MACARONI


No Baked Cheesy Macaroni in Kawali (Pan)


Ingredients for 1/2 kilo
  • 1/2 butter
  • 1/2 kilo elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 Ground Pork or Beef
  • Hotdog (depende kung gano kadami gusto niyo)
  • Sweet style spaghetti sauce or Italian (depends on your choice)
  • 1 All purpose cream
  • Garlic (diced)
  • Onion (diced)
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Cheese Toppings

  • 1 All purpose cream
  • Butter
  • Salt & Pepper powder to taste
  • 1 bar quick melt cheese

Procedure:

  1. Cook elbow macaroni according to packaging direction.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. Saute ground pork sa butter until lumabas ang natural oil niya.
  4. Add hotdog, Saute.
  5. Add the spaghetti sauce of your choice. Do not add water.
  6. Cook in a low fire until boil.
  7. Add all purpose cream, Haluin hanggang pumantay ang kulay ng sauce.
  8. Add cheese, salt, and pepper to taste.
  9. Add cooked elbow macaroni. Saute.
  10. Set Aside.

White Sauce Procedure:

  1. In a pan, Ilagay ang all purpose cream in a low fire. Stir continuously.
  2. Add the butter, Stir continuously, and let it melt.
  3. Add the quick melt cheese. Stir continuously.
  4. Haluin ng maigi hangang maging isang kulay nalang at thick ang consistency ng sauce.
  5. Let it boil, make sure na low fire lang.
  6. Top it on cooked macaroni pasta, let it settle for 5 mins.
  7. Add dried basil or chop cooked bacon on top. *This is optional.

MALUNGGAY EGG WRAPPER


Moringa Egg Wrapper Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 and 1/2 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • Malunggay leaves, chopped

Procedure:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all the ingredients listed above.
  2. Iprepare ang non-stick pan in a low medium heat.
  3. Maglagay ng mixture sa pan, depende sa size ng pan kung gaano kadami ang mixture per wrapper.
  4. Pagkalagay ng mixture, i-swirl o irotate ang pan para mag spread ang mixture.
  5. Repeat the procedure with remaining batter.
  6. Allow the wrappers to cool completely.

HOMEMADE Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Recipe (Tagalog)


Ingredients:

  • 3 Nestle Cream or any All Purpose Cream
  • 1 or 2 Can Condensed Milk (depende kung gaano katamis ang bet niyo)
  • 1 Pack Oreo or any kind of cookies of your choice

Procedure:

  1. Palamigin ang Nestle Cream o All Purpose Cream.
  2. Durugin ang oreo o cookies.
  3. Paghaluin ang condensed milk, nestle cream at dinurog na oreo sa isang lagayan.
  4. Haluin maigi.
  5. Ilagay sa freezer ng overnight.

PICHI PICHI RECIPE


Amber's Style Pichi Pichi Recipe


Ingredients:

2 cups cassava flour
1 cup sugar
2 cups of water
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
Vanilla flavor (optional)

Instructions:
  1. In a big bowl mix the cassava flour, 2 cups water, vanilla flavor, and sugar.
  2. Pour the mixture into the puto moulds and arrange side by side in a steamer. Steam for 40 to 45 minutes.
  3. When done remove from steamer and let cool down.
  4. Scoop out the pichi pichi from the puto mould. Roll each piece in grated cheddar cheese.

POTATO BALLS

EASY Mashed Potato Cheese Rice Balls

Ingredients:

  • Potato, Mashed
  • Rice, Cooked
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Egg
  • Cheese
  • Ham or Hotdog or even vegetables depends on your liking
  • All-purpose flour
  • Breadcrumbs

Procedure:

  1. Mix the mashed potato, rice, egg, all-purpose flour and Ham, hotdog or bacon even vegetables depends on your choice.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Shape into balls, roll in breadcrumbs. Let stand for 15 minutes.
  4. In a preheated pan with oil, fry potato balls, few at a time until golden brown.
  5. Remove from pan to paper towels to drain.
  6. Serve warm.

Chocolate Dream Cake

STEAMED NO BAKE CHOCOLATE CAKE
Copycat Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

(1st Layer)

Chocolate cake:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup sweetened cocoa powder (Hershey’s)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp instant coffee powder
1 whole egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup buttermilk(1/2 tbsp white vinegar + evaporated milk to complete 1/2 cup)

(2nd Layer)

Chocolate Frosting: 

Update Note: you can double up chocolate frosting to make the chocolate frosting thicker. This only yields 1/2 cup.

1/8 cup sweetened cocoa powder (Hershey’s)
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/8 tsp instant coffee powder
pinch of salt
1/2 cup fresh milk/evaporated milk
1/2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
(3rd Layer)

Chocolate Goo:

410ml fresh milk/evaporated milk
1/4 cup sweetened cocoa powder (Hershey’s)
1/2 cup white sugar
100g chocolate chips (milk chocolate)
1/8 tsp instant coffee powder
pinch of salt
3 tbsp cornstarch
(4th Layer)

Chocolate Disc:

300g sweetened milk chocolate
(5th Layer)

Chocolate Dust:

1/4 cup sweetened cocoa powder (Hershey’s)
Cake Pan: 8×2 inch

Updated: If using an oven bake the 1st layer at 160°C for 25-30minutes. Check with toothpick for doneness.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1st Layer – Chocolate cake:

  1. To make Buttermilk: Combine white vinegar and evaporated milk in a 1/2 cup measuring cup. Set aside
  2. In a mixing bowl: sieve all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and coffee. Mix it well.
  3. Then add in the wet ingredients: egg, buttermilk, and vegetable oil. Fold it together until just combined. But don’t over mix.
  4. Pour in vanilla extract and hot water. Mix well
  5. Transfer cake batters onto a cake pan or tin cans.
  6. Steam for about 15 minutes over low heat. (Water should be boiling when you start steaming your cake) Make sure to cover the tin cans with a clean cloth to prevent water drippings from the steamer.
  7. After 15 minutes, check the doneness of cake by inserting a toothpick in the center. It should come out clean or you see some cooked crumbs on the side.
  8. Turn off heat and remove from steamer. Let it cool.

2nd Layer – Chocolate Frosting:

(Yield 1/2 cup)
  1. In a shallow saucepan, mix evaporated milk and cornstarch. Stir it well to dissolve.
  2. Add sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and coffee
  3. Let it cook over low heat possible and constantly stir until mixture is thickened.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add in your butter, plus some vanilla extract.
  6. Stir until well incorporated. Let it cool completely. Once the frosting is totally cooled off, start adding it into the cake for the 2nd layer.

3rd Layer – Chocolate Goo:

  1. In another saucepan, add fresh milk and cornstarch. Mix well
  2. Add sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and coffee. Mix well
  3. Turn the heat on. Cook over medium-low heat. Constantly stir until mixture becomes thick.
  4. Add chocolate chips and stir until it melts. Remove from heat. Let it cool for a minute or two. (you need a warm temp of pudding but not totally cooled).
  5. Pour chocolate pudding on top of the cake with frosting (pudding should be warm but not hot, so it doesn’t melt the 2nd layer.)
  6. Cover cake with cling wrap

4th Layer – Chocolate Disc:

  1. In a double boiler, melt the sweetened milk chocolates. Mix it well. (or use a microwave to melt chocolate.) Note: Remove it from heat the moment it melts. It will become lumpy and grainy if overcooked.
  2. Gently remove the cling wrap.
  3. Pour and spread the melted chocolate on top and even out with a spatula.
  4. Let it cool until chocolate sets into a hard chocolate disc on top.

5th Layer – Dusting:

Using a sieve, place the sieve on top of the cake. Gently add the cocoa powder and tap the sieve with your hands on the side to shake.
Dust the cake carefully with cocoa powder as the final layer. Cover and let it chill.

Serve and enjoy!!

How to get there:

There’s a bus station at Cubao, Pasay,or Buendia going to Batangas.
BUS Name: JAM transit, DLTB, CERES, Dela Rosa etc.
Take a bus with a sign board “BatangasCity / Pier / Derecho Balagtas Exit / Grand Terminal”. Drop off at Batangas Grand Terminal or ask the conductor or driver where you can able to get a jeepney ride going to Bauan. Once on a jeepney, tell the driver to drop you off at Bauan High. There’s a Jeepney Terminal going to Baguilawa-Locloc. Then drop off in front of the gate of La Thalia Beach Resort.

Turn right straight ahead, and turn left on the first street, then ride a jeepney via Capitolio and drop off at SM City Batangas Terminal (Jeepney ride costs PHP 10.00). Travel time: 15 mins. From SM City Batangas Terminal, ride another jeepney via Ilijan or Dela Paz. How to get there:

Rates:

50 pesos for Daytour.
100 pesos for overnight.

Room rates:

Small room with AC good for 4 to 6 persons is 3,500 pesos. They have 3 of these.
Big room with AC good for 8 to 10 persons is 4,500 pesos.
Non AC room or Fan room good for 6 to 8 persons is 3,500 pesos.
Nipa Hut or kubo good for 4 to 6 persons is 2,500 pesos. They have 2 of these.
Cottages is 350 pesos each.
Tent pitching is 200 pesos.

Parking space fee is 150 or 200 pesos a day.

They also have a videoke that you can rent for 1,200 pesos a day if I remembered it correctly.

Batangas lomi

On our 2nd day we ate Batangas lomi, you can find that on the parking space near the resorts. It'll cost you 50 pesos if I remembered it right. 


We did island hopping, swim with the fishes and feed them. This cost 1,500 pesos.

P.S: I suggest that you wear or bring aqua shoes when you go here, ang daming sea urchins and mabato din.

Overall, the place is breathtaking, the staff is accommodating. Malinis ang rooms pero don't expect too much. Hindi crowded which is a plus! Ang downside lang sympre mahal ang bilihin kasi inaangkat pa galing sa bayan.

Ang nagastos namin for this trip for 12 persons for 2 days is 15,000 pesos. 5,000 for the rented van, 7,000 for the 2 small rooms with AC, 2,500 for the foods and the remaining is for the yelo or ice and parking fee. You can make it lower naman depende sa budget niyo. We bring our rice and induction cooker pala and pots and pans pati plates para di hassle. May space din naman sila for ihawan and lutuan. Malinis din ang CR and di nawawalan ng tubig at kuryente. I recommend na dumaan na kayo sa palengke ng bauan at bilhin na ang lahat ng kailangang bilhin.
